This vintage opal ring is glorious cocktail ring showcasing a spellbinding natural opal cabochon in the centre displaying a mesmerising medley of colours. It's claw set in a sizeable 18ct gold gallery haloed by alternating pink rubies and brilliant cut diamonds around the border.  

Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet Earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind. 

All the gemstones in this opal ring are natural and detailed in a comprehensive gem certification that accompanies the piece. The opal weighs approx. 12 carats, with 0.70ct of diamond and 1ct of ruby. The diamonds are also extremely bright with excellent VS clarity – F/G colour. 

This vintage opal ring is a magnificent statement piece and displays clear London hallmarks within the band, dating to 1990. It’s also complete with a faded pink antique ring box with cream velvet interior, stamped with the insignia of “Thomas Brown” of Liverpool under the lid.
